The Santo Domingo residential estate is at km 28 on the A-1 dual carriageway, 20 minutes from Plaza de Castilla on the northern edge of the city of Madrid.

It mainly comprises detached houses on plots of at least 1,000 m2, with an area of semi-detached and terraced houses and blocks of flats near the entrance to the estate.

The residential estate has a security checkpoint at the entrance and excellent security surveillance throughout.

It also has a shopping centre covering all the day-to-day necessities including a chemist, hairdresser, shops for clothing and accessories, herbalist, supermarket, butchers, greengrocery, banks, several restaurants, a garden centre, car workshop, veterinary clinic, etc. There is also a state school, a sports club, a medical centre and a church.

The estate is well connected by bus to Plaza Castilla and Alcobendas/San Sebastian de los Reyes, in addition to other villages in the northern part of the province of Madrid. The bus service links up with the underground rail system in San Sebastian de los Reyes, close to the recently constructed Infanta Sofia Public Hospital, which provides comprehensive health care. The hospital is just 10 minutes away by car.

The estate forms part of the Algete municipality, with a census of 3,000 inhabitants, and comprises 830 houses.
